This time I came to Beijing to hang out with friends and specifically booked my accommodation at Beijing Grand Court International Hotel (Chaoyang Dayue City Qingnian Road subway station). I checked the reviews before and saw that it was right next to the Qingnian Road subway station. I thought it would be convenient for traveling and shopping, but after staying, I realized that the destination for this short trip was much more intimate than I expected.
I took a taxi from Chaoyang Station in Beijing and parked steadily at the hotel entrance in 20 minutes. Dragging my suitcase, I walked in and the front desk staff smiled and took my documents to check in. They heard that I was here to Beijing for a visit, so they reminded me that my room had been packed in advance. They even took the initiative to point me to Exit B of Qingnian Road Subway Station, which was only 300 meters away after crossing the road. It was very convenient to go to various scenic spots. I booked a basic room type, and as soon as I opened the door, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious and bright, without the cramped feeling of many city hotels. The small refrigerator was placed in the corner, and the mattress was just right in softness and hardness. After running around all the way, I lay down on it, and my exhaustion dissipated in one fell swoop.
The most interesting thing is the design of the hotel's "one theme for each floor". I stayed on a floor with a Chinese classical style, and the wooden decorations in the hallway had a hint of antiquity. My friend stayed on a high floor with a Southeast Asian style. The next day, when I went to play with her and pushed open the elevator door, it felt like I had changed time and space directly. This experience of unlocking new styles every time I checked in was a small surprise that many chain hotels did not have.
The convenience of the geographical location can be fully utilized. It takes only five minutes to walk downstairs to Chaoyang Joy City, from milk tea shops, internet famous restaurants to various trendy shops. You don't have to worry about walking too far and not being able to get back late at night. The surrounding big stalls and small restaurants go from one to another. In the evening, I wander back to the hotel after supper with my friends. I can also buy a freshly baked Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle) on the way. If you want to go to scenic spots, take Line 6 all the way to Nanluoguxiang and Beihai Park without taking a detour or transferring. Even if it's to Sanlitun, it's only a few subway stops away, so you don't have to waste time commuting.
The breakfast experience also exceeded expectations. The restaurant has a wide range of dishes, including Kung Pao chicken, which I love. I don't need to go out to find breakfast in the morning, but I can have a warm and full meal in the hotel. When I first checked in, the front desk specially gave a small souvenir to my companion, and the details were full of sincerity. Previously, while browsing reviews, I noticed that some of the facilities had a vintage feel. However, upon actually staying, I realized that all the hardware was well maintained, with fast hot water output and smooth air conditioning temperature adjustment. There were no annoying minor issues at all.
When I left with my suitcase after a two-day short trip, the front desk staff specifically reminded me of the direction of the subway station, fearing that I might take the wrong detour. Compared to many hotels that rely solely on internet celebrity check-in points, the comfort of Beijing Grand Court International Hotel (Chaoyang Dayue City Qingnian Road subway station) lies in the steadfastness hidden in every thoughtful detail. Next time I come to Chaoyang, Beijing to visit, I will definitely choose this place as soon as possible. There is no need to rush through the itinerary, just go for a walk, eat, and play. This is the most comfortable way to start a short trip.Show more
